當今，人們討論最多的社會問題就是大學生的道德規范問題。從大學生吸煙、考試以及研究中的作弊，到金錢崇拜，甚至謀害其他同學，他們中的許多人對那些大學生“應該做”或“不應該做”的道德規范持漠視態度。
產生這一社會問題的原因是多種的。首先，由于要適應社會和學業方面的變化，大學生會遇到很多問題，而他們中有些人并沒有做好準備來迎接殘酷的挑戰。因此如果這些問題處理不當，就會導致悲劇。云南大學的學生馬加爵所犯的殺人案就是一個很好的例證。其次，隨著現代社會的進步，人與人之間的感情日趨淡漠，關系也逐漸功利化，許多大學生狂熱地追求物質享受，他們并不理解生活的真正含義。
如何解決這個問題呢?在我看來，第一，心理問題逐漸成為學校暴力的主要因素，它將會影響大學生的心理健康和學校的穩定，因此，大學有必要把心理學設置為基礎課程。第二，學校應該加強大學生的道德教育，學生應該更多地了解中國的道德傳統。第三，學校應該引導學生發展他們各自方面的能力，特別是自我控制能力，誠信度，以及抗挫能力方面。

One of the much-talked-about present-day social problems is the morality of university students. From smoking, cheating in exams and researches to money worship, even murdering others students, many of them are indifferent to such things as “should” or “should not”.
The causes of this social problem are varied. To begin with, college students experience a number of problems due to the adjustments they are required to make in their social and academic lives. Some of them haven’t got themselves ready for the cruel challenges. So if the problems can’t be handled appropriately, they can lead to tragedy. There is a best example—the homicide committed by Ma Jiajue, a student from Yunnan University. Furthermore, with the advancement of modern society, people tend to become more and more fickle and utilitarian. Many university students are in hot pursuit of material gains. They are unable to understand what a true life is.
How to solve the problem? In my opinion, firstly psychological problems are becoming a major factor for school violence. It will affect the psychological health of university students and the stability of universities. So, it’s essential that psychology be set as a basic course in universities. Secondly, universities ought to enhance their moral education, and students should know more about Chinese moral traditions. Thirdly, students should be guided to develop their abilities in all respects, especially self-control, trustworthiness and endurance of frustration.
