長三角一體化發展戰略實施三年來已取得重大成果(the region has reaped major benefits from its integrated development during the past three years)，一體化發展的新局面正在形成(the integrated development of the region is taking shape)。今年6月份，《長三角一體化發展規劃“十四五”實施方案》(the plan for the region's integration during the 14th Five-Year Plan period)印發實施。下一步將加大落實力度，腳踏實地把長三角一體化發展的既定目標任務變成實實在在的成果。

2018年11月5日，我國宣布支持長江三角洲區域一體化發展并上升為國家戰略(support integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, and make it a national strategy)。2019年12月1日，中共中央、國務院聯合印發了《長江三角洲區域一體化發展規劃綱要》。根據《綱要》，長三角一體化發展的規劃范圍包括上海市、江蘇省、浙江省、安徽省全域(面積35.8萬平方公里)(consists of Shanghai and Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces)。長江三角洲地區是我國經濟發展最活躍、開放程度最高、創新能力最強的區域之一，在國家現代化建設大局和全方位開放格局中具有舉足輕重的戰略地位(as one of China's most economically active, open and innovative regions, the Yangtze River Delta boasts strategic significance in the country's modernization and further opening-up)。
