　　1. An animal species becomes（雖然species是以s結(jié)尾，但此處該詞跟在冠次an后，還是單數(shù)，所以謂語(yǔ)become用了單數(shù)） extinct when it fails to produce enough young in each generation to keep pace with the death rate.

　　2. Better-adapted 更能適應(yīng)環(huán)境的
