(誤)Learning foreign languages take us a lot of time.
(正)Learning foreign languages takes us lots of time.(動(dòng)名詞當(dāng)主語時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)
4.中文：在兩座建筑物之間有一面墻。
(誤)Between the two buildings stand a wall.
(正)Between the two buildings stands a wall.(主語是a wall，正常語序是A wall stands between the two buildings.)
5.中文：桌上有一盒雞蛋。
(誤)A box of eggs are on the table.
(正)A box of eggs is on the table.(主語a box是單數(shù)，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)
6.中文：我的朋友們來了。
(誤)Here comes my friends.
(正)Here come my friends.(主語my friends是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)，本句的一般語序是My friends come here.。)
7.中文：咖啡加牛奶是她最喜歡的飲料。
(誤)Coffee and milk are her favourite drink.
(正)Coffee and milk is her favourite drink.(coffee and milk習(xí)慣上被視為一個(gè)整體，是單數(shù)，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)
8.中文：他的一家人都喜愛音樂。
(誤)His family is fond of music.
(正)His family are fond of music.(集合名詞family在本句是指全家人，是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)。)
9.中文：他們每個(gè)人有一本字典。
(誤)They each has a dictionary.
(正)They each have a dictionary.(主語they是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)，each是修飾語。)
10.中文：許多學(xué)生對(duì)英語感興趣。
(誤)Many a student are interested in English.
(正)Many a student is interested in English.(many a+可數(shù)名詞的單數(shù)形式，雖然表示復(fù)數(shù)的意義，但被看作單數(shù)主語，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。)
